‘Our European House’
International conference at School for the Future on November 9th 2009
On November 9th 2009 the international conference ‘Our European House’ was be held at School for the Future of Koning Willem I College in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.
This date marked the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. With that day, the dichotomy of Europe ceased and cooperation between East and West gained new dimensions. It was the perfect moment for a conference and presentation of the state-of-the-art-project To-Gather, a cooperative effort by schools of primary, secondary and higher education in five European countries. A project to challenge young learners between 3 and 25 years of age to develop their own identity in Europe. We developed, tested and used a variety of working forms and multi-media tools and all partners of the project want to present these products to you. The conference was also a cross-over to a new chapter of To-Gather with more countries and more opportunities to realise our mission.
The conference and presentation took place on Monday, 9 November 2009. On Sunday, November 8th 2009 at 8 pm the organising committee invited participants for a welcome reception with a special atmosphere at the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center, which is situated in the mediaeval centre of
‘s-Hertogenbosch.
